A Little History About Green Gables Ownin a gift shop & general store has been a dream of mine for several years. When I met my husband Randy I never dreamed just how far we would go or how much we would accomplish. That was the problem I never dreamed it could be so good. You will only have what you can see yourself havin in life, nothin more. We found out that Psalm 37:3-5 says: Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. 4Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you your heart's desire. 5Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him and He will help you. And Proverbs 16:3 that says: Commit your works to the Lord and your plans will succeed.
Well that thats exactly what we did, we prayed and told God the desire's of our heart & when He opened the door for us to do this we commited it all to Him so with faith, prayer & amazin family support Green Gables General Store was established. Job 22:27-28 says: 27You will make your prayer to Him and He will hear you and you will pay your vows. 28You shall also decide and decree a thing and it shall be established for you; and the light of God's favor shall shine upon your ways.
Remember that a dream is only a dream until you take a step of FAITH and put that dream into action. Hebrews 11:1 says Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. And Luke 1:37 says: For nothin is impossible with God and no word from God shall be without power or fulfillment. Anyway I'll stop there, I don't have room enough to write all the Blessin's we have gotten just with this store. Its amazin to just sit back and watch God work & know that everyone around you knows theres not one way it could have happened without God.
We came up with the name Green Gables because the area we are located used to be called that years ago & was renamed Esler Field in honor of Lieutenant Wilmer Esler, the pilot of an O-47 monoplane, who died in a crash on the airfield on April 11, 1941. On June 19, 1941, the War Department announced the air corps field at Camp Beauregard would be named Esler Field. Anyway just a brief little history lesson there in case your interested.
Thanks for shoppin At Green Gables, God Bless!!!
